When any tour is
announced, we usually get a ton of e-mails from people
asking question about dates, tickets, venues and all sorts
of other things. We wanted to make it easier for you to
find the answers to your questions (because we sometimes
aren't the most prompt at answering e-mails). That' the
purpose of this FAQ. If you read through this and still
can't find the answer to your question, send us an
e-mail.
1. Before
Tickets Go On Sale
1.1 What
cities are the Eagles visiting?
A complete list
of tour dates is listed on our
2004 tour page. These are the only cities
that we know about now.
1.2 Will more
dates be added? Will they come to my city
or country?
The band is
currently planning a tour of Asia and Australia.
These are the only dates out there right now. We
don't know what their future plans are.
1.3 Why aren't
they coming to my city?
The band seems
to be playing places they haven't played in a
while. If they were just in your city in the
last few years, you may have to wait for the
album to be released before they visit again. As
far as NYC goes, Irving Azoff has said that the
band doesn't like to play NYC because it's very
expensive for the band and that the audiences
are not very receptive.
1.4 Do I need
to join the official club to get good seats?
You do not need
to join the official club to get good seats. The
club makes the process of getting good seats a
little less stressful, but you don't have to. If
you like to talk with other fans, order
exclusive merchandise or check out the cool
videos and photos then you may want to join.
1.5 What is a
presale? Are there any limitations?
The official
club allows members to buy tickets during a
period of time before tickets go on sale to the
general public. Tickets are available in all
price brackets. You can get very good seats in
the pre-sale. Club members may purchase only 4
presale tickets for this leg of the tour. If you
purchased presale tickets in 2003, you are still
entitled to 4 for this leg of the tour.
1.6 How can I
prepare to get tickets the day they get on sale?
Know who is
handling the sale. For Australia,
Ticketek
is handling the sales. S If you
are buying on the Internet, bookmark the
ticket-buying page. Print out a copy of the
seating chart and decide where you would like
your tickets to be (for example, if you like
Joe, write down which sections are on his side).
That way, when you are offered seats, you know
exactly where they will be and you can make a
decision about them.
2. Buying
Tickets
2.1 Is there a
"best" way to get tickets (phone, in person,
Internet)?
It's really a
matter of personal preference. There's really no
advantage to any of the methods. We prefer the
Internet because you have complete control over
which tickets you eventually get.
2.2 How do I
buy tickets if I'm using the pre-sale?
The official
site has done a really good job of explaining
this. Read the text on the side of their tour
page. Just remember to WRITE DOWN YOUR PASSWORD!
2.3 How can I
ensure I get the seats I want during the sale?
You may not get
the exact seat you want (not everyone can sit on
the front row), but you can get a seat you like
if you just make sure to check the seating
chart. So many people buy tickets without
checking this out first. If you are online, you
can also throw back tickets until you get
something you like. Don't be afraid to do that.
2.4 What is
Will-Call?
Will-Call is
located at the venue. If you order your seats
close to the day of the show, you may have to
pick them up there. Just bring your ID and the
credit card you used to make the purchase.
2.5 I've heard
the band releases better seats closer to the date
of the
show. Should I wait for that? If I do that, how
do I get the best seats?
We wish there
was a formula to calculate when/if good seats
were going to be released. We don't recommend
waiting for that. If you can get seats you are
happy with, take them. There are no guarantees
for getting "front row at the last minute". If
you want to try, you just have to be patient and
check almost obsessively and still it may not
pay off.
2.6 Should I
just buy seats from a broker?
You could. The
presale, though, has pretty much kept the best
seats out of the hands of brokers. If you do
plan on buying broker seats, though, make sure
you know your seating chart! A seat may be in
the first row, but it may be WAAAAY off to the
side.
3. Going to the
show
3.1 Can I buy
or get a backstage pass?
No. The only
guaranteed way to get to meet a member is to
join the Joe Walsh fan club and then hope they
schedule a meet and greet.
3.2 It's my
(birthday...anniversary...special occasion) or I'm
going to
propose to my girlfriend at the show. Could
the band announce it from
the stage?
It's been our
experience that the band doesn't do this. The
set-list and even the jokes are kept to pretty
tightly.
3.3 Does the
band take requests?
See Above.
3.4 Can I hang
out and meet the band after the show?
The band
practices something they call the "quick out".
By the time the house-lights go up, the band has
already left the building.
3.5 I have
something I want to give to the band, how do I do
it?
If you have
something to give to the band, give it to one of
their security (usually wearing a laminate pass
and a black shirt) not one of the local ushers.
3.5 Will there
be an opening act? What about an intermission?
No. The Eagles
will take the stage usually about 15 minutes
after the time on your ticket says the show
starts. In the past there has been a 15-20
minute intermission. Make sure you are back in
your seat in time.
4. After the
show
4.1 I want to
tell everyone about what a great time I had. How
do I do
that?
Type up your
review and e-mail it
to us. We'll
post it on the site.
