HFO in Sept '94 was my 1st Eagles concert ever. I had started being a fan  ever since Hotel Calif. was released because my husband immediately loved it & predicted it would be "Song of the Year" . I, of course, took the opposite  approach & stated that "Hotel Calif. is one of the worst songs I've ever  heard---who the heck can understand what a stupid song, anyway". Well, of course, HC DID become song of the year & somewhere along the way I learned to  love the song, the group that sang it, & one particular Eagle became my total idol---can you guess who it was, yep it was that beautiful drummer.

Anyway, we made a night of it, we both took off work an hour early & arrived in Phila in time to go out to dinner before the concert. Then, as fate would have it, (since we just took whatever tics. Ticketmaster had available) we were seated in the second row of the second section going upward on HENLEY'S  SIDE OF THE STAGE. Luckily, I brought binoculars and when I looked thru them,  it appeared that I could reach out & touch Henley. Well, that was the night I became hooked on the Eagles for life. I must tell you that the how began almost exactly on time and began with that wonderful version of Hotel Calif. where Felder just captured the spotlight IMMEDIATELY. And "our guys" never looked back FOR THE NEXT 3 1/2 HOURS I WAS IN TOTAL EAGLES HEAVEN. By the time Henley sang Desperado, I vowed I would one day shake that man's hand or die trying. Well, I haven't done it yet, but not for lack of trying. I've seen either Henley along or the Eagles en mass around 20 times now in about a dozen states and, I must admit, I've had a fantastic time along the way. However, if I live to be 110, I don't think anything will ever top that Sept night in '94 when I "soared with the Eagles" for the first time!!!!!
