EAGLES
Listening Party Comments

Memories :: Songs :: Dislikes :: Lasting Impressions

39 people took part in our very first listening party. They reported their ages as being from 14 to 101 (though we suspect the oldest respondent was actually 50). Here's what they had to say about this album:

Memories

I think this reminds me of the time in my life when lyrics were very important and the eagles always know how to write to display emotion, set a setting, paint a picture in your mind of what is being sung.
[Rosemarie, 49, New York]

As you may guess, when this album was released I was still in the long run, not even born yet.  I first heard this album and in particular this song [Take it Easy] when I was about 10 years old. It made such a big impression on me that I,ve been a fan since that moment.
[Henk, 19, The Netherlands]

I was still at school when I originally bought the album. I'd first seen the band on the 70's BBC broadcast - featured on downloads - and was knocked out. Desperado was released in the UK at the same time as the concert was broadcast, I remember walking into the record store, looking at the cover and just having to buy it. Around 2 weeks later I popped in again and bought this album - Eagles.
[Chas, 42, Glasgow]

I heard this album first as I
knew the Eagles for a while. So it was a nice experience to hear, how the music
changed an in which parts it stayed the same. I bought the album as a vinyl
record in a second hand shop and so its something special for me to have the
first record of the eagles as a vinyl record.
Because it isn't easy to get such things here in Germany!
[Simone, 21, Germany]

well, uhm,
there was this bartender in Mallorca once ... there was sand ...... my earrings
may have sparkled, but it was niiiiiccceeee ......... :)
[Christina, 25, Norman, Oklahoma]

I was in Junior High school then, and I loved to go to school dances, and I remember most music from my dancing days.
[Melody, California]

I know it took me almost two years to get it on vinyl and I found it on a trip to Amsterdam, where I spent one of the funniest weekends in my life with my best friend, though we did not find a youth hostel. We found it two times. For her and for me! What an incredible luck!!!
[Sarah, 18, Neuss, Germany]

This album and many of the other Eagles records remind me of the summer between high school and college.
[Lucy, 19, Connecticut]

Take it Easy was a song I first heard
by the Eagles when I was 14 yrs old so it was the begging of my teenage years
which were a lot of fun and had a lot of memories of Eagle songs. They started
when I was 13 and broke up when I was 22 when I became engaged so they
encompassed my growing up years.
[Richie, 44, Long Island]

It was on Christmas vacation and I had just gotten back from
wrestling practice and I was home alone, so I opened up the LP case and grabbed
the ""Eagles"" album and put it on the turn table and cranked it up
[Cody, 15, North Dakota]

November 2002 I was on vacation in the US. That day we flew over the Grand Canyon in a
helicopter we also went to the meteor crater near Winslow AZ. Of course I also
had to stand on the corner. After that we went to Tonto state park witch was so
beautiful. That day was the best day of the best vacation I ever made. Every
time I hear ""Take It Easy"" my mind goes back to that day.
[Barend, 26, Holland]

I was a little disappointed when I first heard it (and still am) in the middle of the seventies after I
discovered the eagles.
[Jocke, 40, Gothenburg, Sweden]

This was one of the first Eagles album that I ever bought. I remember it was on an 8
track and I used to play it over and over in my first car, a mini. I think it
would be worth a lot of money if I still had it, and the car! This album brings
back a lot of memories because I was only 17 at the time, young, free and single.
What great time in life.
[Allen, 43, Cornwall, England]

This is kind of a funny question about this particular record. I remember when I was
little and the Travis Tritt version of TAKE IT EASY would come on the radio, and
I would sang along as well as I could. I just love this record- The songs have
just a positive quality to them... WITCHY WOMAN can always get me in a good
mood, and TRAIN LEAVES HERE THIS MORNING is just such a peaceful, well written
song, it always makes me reflect on my day. The whole record over all is very
nice.
[Ashley, 14, Dallas]

I remember going out and trying to find ""Eagles"". The
first time I listened to their tape ,I was hooked. It was the 2nd teen year of
my life. Pretty good year! Being a teen, and finding the Eagles. Just classic.
Never forget it. It was the year I found out so many new things. I'm so very glad
the Eagles were a part of it.
[Desert Rose, 19, Virginia]

When I first really heard Take it Easy, I was at the state
water polo tournament a couple years ago. This was what it all came down to,
the whole year, all the memories. We got to the state championship although not
many people thought we'd make it, but we believed we could take it. We ended up
losing in double overtime by a point, a painful experience to say the least.
Take It Easy gave it special meaning because of the lines ""we may lose, we may
win, but we'll never be here again"" song with perfect harmony that gives it
special meaning. Whenever I hear those lines, it brings back the memories of
that still wonderful season, and that painful game. Simply
wonderful.
[Shawn, 18, West Point, New York]

I bought it on a weekend (can't
say if it was Saturday or Sunday) and I had 6 dollars (pesos) in my pocket, I
walked on a record store that had the CD at the incredible prize of 6 bucks, so
I bought it and went home on foot, because I had no money left for the bus.
[Emanuel, 23, Argentina]

Just reading the song titles from the album
brings a feeling of nostalgia! It reminds me of when the Eagles played here in
Manchester at a college gymnasium!!! Maybe 1974. I HATE to admit it, but I had
forgotten I'd seen them til someone brought it up to me after HFO tour & I was
excited about seeing them! To be honest, I don't remember the show AT ALL...but
I do remember standing in line outside the gym to go in. It was a good time in
my life-we were all young, carefree-those were the good ol' days! AND...the next
morning my sister & I went to the hotel & were walking around the hallways, etc
(it wasn't a big hotel) & Don Felder asked my sister ""do you need help, little
girl?"" and...Don Henley came out in his underwear & took a newspaper from in
front of another room's door! Then, we ended up in the room of the opening
band-didn't do anything bad-don't even think we smoked!! But they were from
Boston & I did go see them 1 or 2 times after that.
[Sandie, 50, Manchester, New Hampshire]

I remember the first time I picked up a copy of the
12""
with the gatefold and the upside down picture inside.

It helped me right a good essay on attitude through art work. They looked young
and free, they sounded young and free.

They do look very stoned in the photos!!!
[Python, 20, Wales]

First bought and heard the album when I was 16
in 1977. It was the Queen's jubilee year and everybody was either into punk or
still reeling over Bohemian Rhapsody. I remember walking into the school common
room where we used to play records with a copy of the LP hoping to convert a few
classmates. Half way through Take It Easy the record was taken off the stereo
with cries of ""bloody crap country music!"". I realised from this point on that
it would not be cool to like The Eagles. I've stuck with the band since then and
the songs on this album (and others of course) have kept me good company over
the years. Whislt never a crusade I can safely say I've converted a few people
along the way to the band and lets not forget ; if there hadn't been the first
Eagles album with that first hit single there probably wouldn't have been Hotel
California. Oh yeah I nearly forgot in 1978 I started the first Eagles fanzine
with the (imaginative!) title of Take It Easy. What I would have swapped for www.
and a computer instead of scissors paper and glue.
[Mike, 40, Oxford, England]

I came late to this actual album aged about 19, having been fed a staple of
Greatest Hits and Best ofs before around 1996, so really this reminds me of the
first time I had the money to go out and buy CDs for myself (and buy I did,
going quickly broke in the process - students are so dumb sometimes!)
I was studying for an English degree at the time so I would listen to this lying
on my cheap unsteady bed reading heavy things like Paradise Lost and
Villette.
[James, 24, Isle of Man]

Definitely reminds me of my BEST summer (you know, before
marriage, kids, dogs, etc.). I remember just putting the eight track (UGH!) in
by '70 something VW bug & heading to the beach with 3-4 of my closest
friends
[Debbie, 48, Wilmington, Deleware]

My brother bought the album in the late-eighties, reminds me on 1998 when I checked
out the guitar for take it easy and peaceful easy feelinī for the Band I play.
[Christian, 34, Hamburg, Germany]

Raven hair and ruby libs and sparks fly from her finger
tips. I been searching for the daughter of the devil and still I've been
searching for an Angel in White; I can feel her, but she's ""no where"" in
sight.

Well, I take the ""no where"" and move the letters and it now says, ""now
here"".  And my wife of seven years has Raven hair and Ruby lips, she's the daughter of
the devil and a Angel in white. A man could not ask for more. Also, I was
married on May 20, 1995, which is the same date Don Henley was married. It was
not planned that way, it just happened.
[Darryl, 40, Charlotte]

Driving into Winslow playing this track [Take it Easy] on the car stereo loudly and
thinking I was the first to do this - ever - and then discovering that the
museum shop pipes 'Take it Easy' continuously during daylight hours onto the
boardwalk through a hidden overhead speaker
[Winslowboy, 101, Hull, UK and Tucson, AZ]

This was the first Eagles song I ever heard
about 10 years ago in the car on a road trip. I remember being bored out of my
mind, but then this happy, relaxed, 'sunny' melody emerged from the speaker. Now
every time the British weather gets me down, I put Take It Easy on the stereo and
lie back and dream of sun drenched California, and sometimes Winslow Arizona! It
is also one of the more memorable songs from Manchester Live 2001, since it was
the penultimate track, and I just remember everyone up dancing and singing.
[Michael, 18, England]

It reminds me
how important music is in my life. Even when the Eagles were first starting out
they were great. A solid debut album.
I had this CD for years. I never listened to it until this summer. Wow. I was
missing a great album. Now it's one of my favorite Eagles
albums.
[Takeittothelimitgirl, 41, Kansas City]

I first heard the Eagles in the Summer of '76. I was on holiday
and ""Their Greatest Hits"" was being played over and over and over and...

I went to the record shop to buy the album and came across ""Eagles"" The track
order was the same as Greatest Hits (Take It Easy Side One Track One, Witchy
Woman Side One Track Two, Peaceful Easy Feeling Side Two Track Four) so I bought
it by mistake.

Anyway, we had a heatwave and drought in the UK that Summer and I always feel
like playing that album when we have a Long Hot Summer
[Joe B., Crewe, England]

It was from a period in my life that was really shaping my
tastes...during the junior high school years. I can remember being at school
dances and dancing to many of the songs. Very fond memories
[Lonestarbeth, 39, Texas]

This is the first album i bought other than the greatest hits when i was
in middle school
[John, 24, Florida]

Songs

Take it Easy

This song really reflects the
way I look and experience the Eagles and their music at that time.
Relaxed, laid-back, no restrictions.... living a dream.
[Henk, 19, The Netherlands]

fantastic paced song; great lyrics; great imagery conveyed
by song; superb vocal by Glenn Frey, this song is one which I would choose if I
had to pick 100 favourites of mine of all time.
[mke, 37, Dublin, Ireland]

I like this song as it is a bit country and a bit rock and
the song is one of those where it has you singing along in no time.,,that it is
slower than the Hotel California in sound and they haven't picked up the great
guitar rock solos yet
[Lynsey, Scotland]

Thatīs how it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall started
[Lars, 39, Gothenburg, Sweden]

This was the first Eagles tune I ever listened
to - it has a vibrancy and vitality, a purity both of form and feeling that the
Eagles actually never bettered (though Ol'55 came close). Although there are
'better' songs artistically in later years, this is the Eagles at their most
essential - fun loving, Teen Kings all, to whom life is just another thrill on a
flat bed ford.
[James, 24, Isle of Man]

Its hard to say precisely what it is that
makes the song stand out, especially with competition from the likes of Witchy
Woman and Peaceful Easy Feeling. I think its just the upbeat tempo, the dreamy
lyrics and this feeling of sunshine that erupts inside you whenever you hear it.
The banjo is damn cool as well.
[Michael, 18, England]

Actually i love every song on the
album in itīs own special way. But Take It Easy was the first song of the eagles
that ""caught my feelin"
[Christian, 34, Hamburg, Germany]

I like the music, and the meaning of the song.
Everybody should hear that song AT LEAST once in their life, and think about it
and, its meaning.
[Desert Rose, 19, Virginia]

It was actually really hard to pick this
song. Every song from this album is good, and it depends on the mood. For
wanting to have a good time and feel good, it's Take It Easy, for relaxing and
enjoying the sounds of the southwest, Peaceful, Easy, Feeling, or Train Leaves
Here This Morning. But Take It Easy probably takes the cake. It's a good paced
song with special meaning, with perfect harmonies. It describes to me of a way
of life that is long gone. A model almost of how to live. It's hard to
describe that feeling that the song gives, but I figure fellow Eagles fans will
understand. =)
[Shawn, 18, West Point, New York]

Witchy Woman

It kind of sounds American Indian style for some
reason, the music in front of the song. Its almost sexy.
[Melody, California]I learned to plan to play the drums to the
Eagles back in the 70's at age 13 and this is one of the main songs that I
loved.

I played in a band from age 16 to 19 and we did a lot of Eagles tunes that
included Witchy Woman.
[Darryl, 40, Charlotte]

Favourite at the moment since hearing it
played live last year. Like the ""Indian drum neat"" and the sound of the
guitar. Like the fact that Glenn plays the guitar solo. It's very
"different"
[Joe B, Crewe, England]

I love ALL of the Eagles songs, but this is ONE
of my favorites!
[Kathy, 31, Hillsboro, OH]

I like Witchy Woman because of Don's voice. Very sexy.
And I like the Zelda Fitzgerald story about it.
[Sarah, 18, Neuss, Germany]

It has a kind of dark sound to me. That in combination
with the way Henley sings the third verse and plays very powerful drums. The
unusual guitar solo makes it clear that the band is going somewhere
[Barend, 26, Holland]

I like the song WITCHY WOMAN because of
the catchy beat, and the truly profound meaning of the song. If you listen to it
long enough, and really think about the lyrics, they're very deep.
[Ashley, 14, Dallas]

Witchy Woman touches me to the core. I love the beginning music, the drum
beat in the chorus parts & thru out the whole song. Don's voice does the song
good! It has a sensual beat.
[Sandie, 50, Manchester, New Hampshire]

Right from the get-go, I loved the
Eagles, but WW was always a favorite & still is -- which is why Henley's version
on his latest tour was such a treat. I think this was the one that made me a
Henley fan.
[Debbie, 48, Wilmington, DE]

Nightingale

I know that it wasn't a song released as a single, but I
think that it has a really good sound to it. And I just love anything that Don
sings.
[Lonestarbeth, 39, Texas]

Train Leaves Here This Morning

Because I love the vocals and the guitar solo in
the middle of the song. the lyrics are really cool too. Bernie is second best
in my book!
[Cody, 15, North Dakota]

It has that special ""slow groove"" and
beautiful harmony vocals with a lovely arrangement.
[Jocke, 40, Gothenburg, Sweden]

It captures perfectly the early Eagles country
rock sound - the harmonies and arrangements that feature on the first three
albums due to the Bernie Leadon/Randy Meisner influence. By the time of OOTN the
overall sound was much rockier and Henley and Frey were very much calling the
shots. This was a song that Bernie ( who co wrote it with Gene Cark) brought
with him from his previous band The Dillards so check out the original if you
can. Hope nobody's missed the pun in the last verse by the way "" and I laughed
when the joker said Lead-on
[Mike, 40, Oxford, England]

I like the way Bernie sings the song. Reminds
me of Gordon Lightfoot a little. It's a good country-rock song. Plus I like
songs about trains :-)
[Michael, 31, Milford, Massachusetts]

Take the Devil

A very atmospheric, effective, underrated
Randy Meisner number. A terrific lead part by Glenn, it took me weeks to learn it.
[Chas, 42, Glasgow]

Because it's just nice and uncomplicated, it rocks,
it's atmospheric and the guitar solo (i believe it's the simplest guitar solo
i've ever heard in a song)
just haunts me every time.
[Timo, 17, Germany]

I'm going to go with a not hit. The groove of this song is
pretty cool, especially the little break down about 2 minutes into the song.
Randy does an excellent job on the vocals, cool guitar riff and bass line
too!
[John, 24, Florida]

Peaceful Easy Feeling

I like the way the music flows so smoothly and how Glenn
sings. The passion and ease of his voice goes along with the name of the song.
peaceful easy feeling is the eagles to me. What could be better than that kind
of feeling?
[Rosemarie, 49, New York]

It's so dreamy and almost hypnotic, you can
hear the song and still go way off in your own little world. The lyrics about
sparkling earrings and slow easy love in the sand .... (sigh)
[Christina, 25, Norman, Oklahoma]

I love this song because it sounds dreamy like the
sun has just gone down and the sky is still a little light, with a purple and
blue horizon
[Lucy, 19, Connecticut]

Because you don't only hear this song, you feel it.
You get this peaceful easy feeling. When I hear it, I forget the world around me
and my troubles and problems are swept away.
[Simone, 21, Germany]

It's a nice easy song to sing along to. This
really is a catchy tune and puts you into, as the title says, a peaceful easy
feeling. Along with I can't tell you why and old 55,I have probably played this
song more in the last 2 years than any other Eagles tune, this may be due to the
fact that they produced it live on the millennium boxed set. Brilliant
[Allen, 43, Cornwall, England]

The melody, being from a country that doesn't speak
English as the main language, I usually starts enjoying foreign  bands/songs
because of the melody.By the first time I listened to this song, I had already the Hell freezes over
album (as you can see, I started with the later stuff) and what I really enjoyed
about this song is that the melody was really relaxing, and the harmonies helped
to create the smoothness that this song has; and when I finally paid attention
to the lyrics they just fit in perfectly with the melody; I love this song
because it relax me, I really love this song.
[Emanuel, 23, Argentina]

Tryin'

I like Randy's vocals and bass
playing. plus I think it's an early form of the eagles trying to rock it shows
the potential was always there and that as much as I love Don Felder they could
have done the rock thing without him. although I think the plan may have been to
do it gradual by adding Felder then Joe.
[Richie, 44, Long Island]

The Eagles doing what they do best straight back
rockin' and rollin'The harmonies, the lyrics, the attitude the Eagles were on fine form that day.

Never did the Eagles sound so alive as times move on the production of the
Eagles work sounds cut and dried by the time its committed to record this one
sound open and breezy
[Python, 20, Wales]

I love Randy's voice on this song. I
also like the upbeat tempo. It has a positive message. Keep on tryin' and
you'll make it. Even if you make a mistake you can try again.
[Takeittothelimitgirl, 41, Kansas City]

What Don't You Like?

Take It Easy gets kind of old after a while, so I just listen to the songs that nobody
likes (which I like) instead.
[Cody, 15, North Dakota]

There could have been some more writing credits from Henley and Frey but, then
again..... we wouldn't have the great Jackson Brown song: Take it Easy.
So my answer has to be no!!
[Henk, 19, The Netherlands]

Train Leaves here this morning. It's a good
song, and I do like it. But to me it doesn't fit the album.
[Desert Rose, 19, Virginia]

Finding out that it was recorded in London, was kind of a disillusion, but it
shows that the guys in the band carry their magic to every place in the world.
[Christian, 34, Hamburg, Germany]

It's very difficult to pick out anything bad about
Eagles music for me. I love the country style as well as the rock influence of
some of the songs on this album, every tune is different. If I had to pick out
one song that I don't like, then it would probably be Early Bird. But they can
be forgiven one bad one.
[Allen, 43, Cornwall, England]

Some of it still seems very fresh but a lot now seems very dated. Nightingale
sounds like it's from the 60's
[Joe B., Crewe, England]

CHUG ALL NIGHT! Eeeeeew!!
[Python, 20, Wales]

Umm, well the kick drum sound on most of the songs sounds like
a basketball...but other than that
[John, 24, Florida]

I could live without the sound effects on Earlybird. Nightingale also
sounds a little like a filler track.
[Chas, 42, Glasgow]

Whilst there are gems on
this album the overall quality of the songs themselves are not up to the
standards the band would later set themselves. How many made the box set for
example ? This proved however to be the first major turning point for the band
and threw Henley and Frey together as a songwriting duo (probably on a
Wednesday!) for the next album Desperado. It's not an album I listen to a lot
regularly because of the varied quality of the songs and when I polled the
fanzines readers it was voted the least liked of the bands output.
[Mike, 40, Oxford, England]

chug all night and most of us are sad are sore
compositions
[Jocke, Gothenburg, Sweden]

I do not like Randy's voice...
Sorry.
[Sarah, 18, Neuss, Germany]

I don't like the birds chirping at the
beginning of Earlybird. When you have this album on the headphones and you're
just mellowing out, the birds come in mess it up.
[Lucy, 19, Connecticut]

The bird on Earlybird. I also don't like that way of guitar picking
[Barend, 26, Holland]

The boys look as if they are
either freezing to death, or have just woken up in the early morning desert
after a hard days' night before posing for the sleeve picture.
[Winslowboy, 101, Hull, UK and Tucson, AZ]

The song Earlybird. Yuck!
[Michael, 31, Milford, Massachusetts]

I don't like Chug All Night. They should have left it off!
[Lonestarbeth, 39, Texas]

Lasting Impressions

This album contributed to music in general. It was the first contact for the
fans with the music of the Eagles what contributed to the music we love today.
Great album, with music to my heart.
[Henk, 19, The Netherlands]

It was a good first effort,
and it just showed that there was going to be a lot of wonderful songs coming
from these guys in the future.
[Lonestarbeth, 39, Texas]

Nice mixture of
basic, raw country ballads with a hint of experimental vocal and instrumental
variation for a change of pace and flavour.
[Winslowboy, 101, Hull, UK and Tucson, AZ]

A great beginning for the
group. A personal favorite of the group.
[Michael, 31, Milford, Massachusetts]

I was 14 when I bought my fist Eagles tape (no, not a CD a tape!). It was that or One of these
nights. So I picked Eagles. I had heard ""Take it easy"" on a local 70's rock
station many times, and liked it. But I didn't have a clue who sung it. Till one
day I heard ""Peaceful easy feeling" ,and was told it was by a group called
""Eagles"" and that's when I bought the tape. It had ""Peaceful easy feeling""
AND ""Take it easy"" on it. I found out that day that the same group sung both
songs. I loved it! Every song on that tape I liked, and still do! I really never
paid attention to music till the Eagles. Then I found music, and what's it's all
about! No other band can move me the way the Eagles can, and I'm so glad I bought
that tape! Thanks to the Eagles, they helped me find music!
[Desert Rose, 19, Virginia]

this album is so assured from
the outset that if you did not know any better could have been recorded by the
band a long time after they formed
[mke, 37, Dublin, Ireland]

It's an original album.
It isn't very deep or difficult, but even in its early stage of the band life
it's obvious this isn't a one-day-fly
[Barend, 26, Holland]

Its easy to criticise the lyrical sophistication of quite a few of
the tracks (Chug All Night and Most of us are Sad especially) but really you
have to take the album as it was - the embryo, a pure raw germ of the great
Eagles to come.
[James, 24, Isle of Man]

It would be nice to hear some up to date versions of
some of the 'non hit' songs from this album. Train leaves here this morning and
most of us are sad. I'm a sucker for an Eagles ballad.
[Allen, 43, Cornwall, England]

I love the song Nightingale,
I always get it stuck in my head, it's pretty catchy. And Most of Us are Sad is
really cool too. Of course, Witchy Woman and Take it Easy are gimmes.
Especially to have such awesome hits on your first record is a pretty big
accomplishment
[Lucy, 19, Connecticut]

Think I've said enough already but to finish I would say this albums remains the foundation
on which the band started out on and gave them that all important foot hold to
build on. Along with albums by The Byrds, Poco and Gram Parons amongst others it sits up
there as a classic country rock record.
As Glenn says on the MTV HFO set"" and this is how it all started.
[Mike, 40, Oxford, England]

Itīs a nice debut album, thank god they started to write much
more better songs.
[Jocke, 40, Gothenburg, Sweden]

Randy and Bernie were never so prominent
again.
[Chas, 42, Glasgow]

I love the photo on the back cover and the story about it (from Under the
Cover). The Eagles really look like having done it all night. :)
[Sarah, 18, Neuss, Germany]

I like the fact that Bernie and Randy heavily contributed to the LP
[Richie, 44, Long Island]

It is a really good album and the Eagles would be
lost with out it
[Cody, 15, North Dakota]

This has to be one of the most laid back, chilled relaxed, feel-good
albums ever written.
[Michael, 18, England]

The last Eagles Album I bought and the one I have had in my CD player the
least. Bun WHEN I listen to it, I love it
[Timo, 17, Germany]

It should have been re released for it's 30th
anniversary in a CD digipack which would be gatefold like the original with the
CD being contained in a copy of the original patterned sleeve. The Eagles or
their management, don't understand the historic significance of their
music
[Joe B, Crewe, England]

Great solid first album, even Chug All
Night :)
[John, 24, Florida]

A wonderful album altogether. Has more hits in it
that a band would love to have in their lifetime, and for their first go around
to. It gives a great picture of what life was like back then, and a great
picture of the ""early Eagles."" Although not as critically acclaimed, Train
Leaves Here This Morning is wonderful song that gives the feeling of just
travelling in the desert, straight road, no one else around... not a care in the
world. Peaceful, Easy, Feeling doesn't require any comments. Witchy Woman's
harsher tones are still soften my great harmonies and provides a wonderful
listening. All the other songs provide the same feelings, memories of a time
long past... laid back, peaceful, and easy... I didn't have to live through the
times to know what it was like... it stays alive in this album, and other early
Eagles works. Awesome... simply awesome.
[Shawn, 18, West Point, New York]

Glenn Frey once said ""Peaceful Easy Feelin'is the third single we milked
off our first record" they could easily have released more cos pretty much
all these songs sound like classics
[Python, 20, Wales]
