Wow, what a night! Once again the boys were on brilliant form. They came onabout 15 minutes late - opened with 'Seven Bridges Road', same as Earl's Courtand stuck to pretty much the same format. They were on great form - relaxed, in good humour : I've never seen Don smile and laugh so much at an Eagles gig. By midway through the second set they were almost just 'jamming' - brilliant!During 'Dirty Laundry' Glenn broke a guitar string and carried on with it hanging down - desperately motioning to a roadie to help him out - in the end he just shrugged and carried on, much to the amusement of Don. Don sounded just a tad raspy on a couple of songs - I was willing him through Sunset Grill' - I was dreading him cracking up : but he rose to the occasion and gave a flawless performance. I did think he was having some problems though cos he failed to do 'All she wants to do is dance' - and it had nothing to do with crowd response : the entire arena was on its feet and really into it.We had great seats - and I was with some people who hadn't seen them since the 70's and were just blown away.My lasting memory? Well, I was on an end row and could see the boys clearly. Don looked at me - I swear he did - and smiled - and I smiled back and waved and he grinned even more. OK so others were waving too, but just let me linger in the belief that he was looking at ME!Once again, it was a brilliant night. An odd observation: price of merchandise had mysteriously risen since London. Now that's weird!
