About This
Website
This website has
been around since 1996. It started as a branch of our
Eagles Fanzine, The Wasted Times. Over the years it's
undergone quite a few transformations in layout and
color scheme. This new look happens to be our favorite
and we're hoping to keep it for quite some time.
This website gets
between 2000 and 2700 hits a day.
The Fastlane is
created on a Sony Vaio using Microsoft FrontPage.
Graphics are done in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. For audio
and video we use a combination of Dazzle and Pinnacle
Studio. This site is now hosted on our own dedicated
server! We use Typepad Blog to keep the news and tour
reviews up-to-date.
Over the years we've
relied on hundreds of people to drop in news, photos
and the like. We thank each and every one of you for
your generosity.

About L&M
L&M
stands for Lisa and Melissa. We became best friends
when we met in Bowling Class at the University of
Wisconsin Eau Claire. While we each wait for our Mr.
Right to come along, we share an apartment in Austin,
Texas with three cats (Abby, Emerson and Scully) and
two hyper
dachshunds (Ike & Amos). We both are certified to teach a
multitude of different things (Reading, English,
History, English as a Second Language, and Gifted and
Talented Education). Currently, Lisa teaches World
Cultures to 6th graders and Mel teaches 7th grade
Texas History.
In regards to the
website, Melissa handles most of the stuff you can
"see". She does the design and the daily updates. Lisa
provides helpful feedback and creative support. She
also does the behind-the-scenes stuff like answering
e-mail, handling requests, and dealing with making
sure the audio, memorabilia, photo, article and
video archives are organized (a monumental task).
We thought that a
fun way to tell a little more about us would be to
share some of our favorite bookmarks with you. That
will tell you a little more about what makes each of

history, London, kitties, gardening, photography,
Lewis & Clark, and reading trashy Jackie Collins
books.
I'll add more when I think of it so I don't look

Yes, I'm one of the 15% who does not care for the
job that
the current White House Resident is doing. I use DU to keep tabs on what
is REALLY going on. I'm a proud evilDUer.

stuff. I love watching craft/cooking/remodeling

Melissa also likes

novels, and bunches of other really interesting
stuff.
Oh yeah, we're
