Don will keynote speaker at the dedication of the Cass County Courthouse in Linden, Texas tomorrow. We're hoping there will be some local press coverage.

Beautiful courthouse from the outside. I wish that I could have taken the tour in person. I could not even get a virtual tour. Unfortunately, my computer would not let me open the images.

Looks like the community pulled together to restore it, which is quite touching.

I am wondering what materials they used, if they would have been the types used in the 1930s, plus added the modern safety and comfort features. I hope that the contractor used actually specialized in restoration of historic buildings, which is an art. I have seen pictures of the work on historic homes done by general contractors and it was not so great. I cannot believe that someone would spend a fortune of such a house and then not fix it up properly.
