Don Henley at MAC Gala

Don Henley was the special guest at the annual fundraising gala for the Meade Activity Center in Brandenburg, Kentucky, last night. WVIH has a brief summary of the evening, which included Don auctioning of a guitar signed by the Eagles. I attended the Gala. A good time was had by all. Don said he was in Nsdhville Monday night working on his new album. merle haggard was the guest singer. He also said he ejoyed working with Dolly Parton. Someone asked if he ever thought about writing books or poetry. He said good poetry was tough to write but did allow that he would author the story of his life. He was asked if a dvd would be forthcoming featuring the LROOE tour. He said said no, but a documentary of the bands history was in the works.

No. Not sure he is really "involved". Celebrities are certainly for hire. They pay him a fee and he comes. I'm sure that he vets the opportunities and would appear only for causes he believes are worthwhile and he would support. He allowed that "they were doing a good thing" in raising money for this particular cause.
