Lynn: Fan Review

Awesome doesn't even begin to describe last night's show!!!! From the "Long Run" to "Desperado", the Eagles gave what appeared to be a sold out Carolina Center everything fans came to see and more! Yes - the set list was identical to that reported by the Richmond fans. While the venue may have been sold out, the chairs got a good nights rest as few ever used them...and the band seemed to appreciate the enthusiasm and feed off the fans energy.

The stadium rocked with familiar Eagles tunes and thousands of extra voices supporting the bands efforts. Like a good football coach (Lou Holtz was mentioned more than once by Glenn), the star players are sometimes paced to be ready for the 2nd half, and that's what appeared to be going on with Joe Walsh who seemed to be content to let Steuart Smith (what a talent!) take the lead during the first set...but what a 2nd half! His guitar licks were tight and on the money and kept the fans on their feet. His improvisation on "You Belong to the City" had the crowd roaring with appreciation. Don Henley's voice never faltered and seemed to get even better as the night went on. Glenn sounded great, especially on the old hits, and showed some fancy footwork dancing for the fans in the upper corners of the venue while Don had everyone rocking to "All She Wants to Do is Dance". As usual, Timothy sounded awesome on his
feature songs - especially "Love Will Keep Us Alive". The horn section gave the group a rich full sound that completed the act and left the fans exhausted!

It was my first Eagles concert since (ahem) the "Long Run Tour" but I don't plan to wait 20 plus years to see them again...maybe after their long awaited new album is released? Don didn't promise when it would be ready but he did promise it would be "good"! Can't wait!

The Eagles put on one heck of a show last!! I was on my feet the entireshow. Everyone looked great--that's including Joe! And I totally disagree with the review about Joe's voice being shot. He sounded great last night. His songs were real crowd pleasers and some of my favorites--Walk Away and Funk 49 were awesome. The sets were the same as the Richmond show. The concert started about 8:15 and was over at 11:45. I was surprised at how fast the second set went. Before I knew it, they were leaving the stage and that's when the deafening yells of the crowd kicked in. The crowd was really into it the whole night long. It was wonderful to be a part of it all and have such good seats. We were right in front of Timothy who through out a handful of picks at the end of the show. Glenn sounded great on James Dean and You Belong to the City and was acting a fool dancing around while Don sang All she wants to do is Dance. Joe put on the hard hat camera for half of one song. Everyone I talked with after said Joe really got the crowd going, but every song was great. The crowd went crazy when Don said they were going to do a new song, Hole in the World. No one around where we were sitting left during the song. The new song is pretty cool and I'm looking forward to hearing it on the radio. It was interesting to see such a wide range in ages at the show. The Eagles have proven that they can still rock. I really could go on and on because there's so much to say but
one word sums up last night's show--AWESOME!

Ok, last night I had the wonderful opportunity of attending the show, and was lucky enough to have floor seats, row 6 center!. Anyway the concert was even better than I could imagine! The set list was exactly the same as the Richmond concert, the band sounded great, the lighting was good, and all of the guys were in a great mood!. Don and Glenn were laughing a lot among themselves, Joe of course always has a good time! Tim and Steuart were in top form as usual. The most memorable moments of the evening for me was the introduction of the new song "hole in the world", Don made a comment saying that "he knows that we take awhile making albums but
considering that now a days when you buy an album and it has only 1 good song, maybe two, we would rather make sure that we give our fans a good album!. The new song was great, the harmony was perfect, by the second stanza the whole audience was singing the chorus, the applause was roaring with approval afterwards. The next highlights was our man Joe, he was in top form, the audience totally went wild for "life's been good", and funk 49, and walk away. His performance was great. Of course don's voice was in great shape, I was so glad to hear them play "One of these Nights", his drumming great, and Steuart was excellent! Glenn also did his dancing through "all she wants to do is dance", you could tell he was having a good time, they were all smiling all night!

What I loved about this concert was that the men were pretty much dressed casual, except Glenn did wear a jacket, the rest were very informal. At the end the men took a bow, Tim threw out a bunch of guitar picks to the audience, and Joe threw out one pick! I spoke to an employee who was working the concert, and after the bow, the men immediately left the center and went directly to the bus and left! gee, is there ever a chance that the men would sign some autographs, now that would be a surprise!!!!

The merchandise that they had was great but pricey!, shirts were $35, to $45, and the program was $20.00. Although it was pricey, i could not have walked out of that concert without a T-Shirt, a program and a key chain.

The concert was wonderful, I will be seeing the eagles again in Atlanta, and Charlotte, and it is worth every penny to get that peaceful easy feeling!
