Atlantic City Reviews

Mary R's Review

I Saw the Show In: Atlantic City, my "home away from home."---Beyond awesome
place to see a concert, Boardwalk Hall is a super place to see a concert.

My Favorite Part: Moving up to the 4th row center at the beginning of the
encores.

My Least Favorite Part: It ended way too soon---NEVER ENOUGH EAGLES!!!!!!!!!

The Band Members Were: FANTASTIC (as usual), but slightly subdued because
they had lost a dear friend (Rafael) and, thus, dedicated "Hole in the World" to
his memory.

The Show Made Me Feel: Like I was 20 years younger last night---exhausted
today because I only slept 3 hours last night.

One Thing I'll Never Forget: All of it, I love those
Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other Comments: I think that my husband summed it up best when he made the
observation that it was the only place he has been to in many years where
everyone there seemed to be totally happy. I think that is part of the key to why
the Eagles have stayed vital over the years (other that their obvious wonderful
talent, of course) is because they make folks feel young again (even it is
for only a few hours. As I was leaving Boardwalk Hall last night, I was
listening to what others around me were saying to each other and the common thread was
that they just plain had so much fun!!!!! And the best part of the whole
thing is that AC was on the second leg in my "Eagles Summer Extravaganza", I'm
going out to Las Vegas in two weeks to see them one more time this
summer--------way too totally absolutely COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE EAGLES ROCKED THE ROOF OFF THIS OLD CONVENTION CENTER.IT WAS A PACKED HOUSE AND "WOW WHAT A SHOW".THE LIGHTING AND VIDEO SHOW WAS AWSOME AND ADDED A SENSE OF BEING IN THE MUSIC!! I'VE ALWAYS LOVED THE JAMES GANG AND HAVING JERZEE JOE WALSH DO SOME JAMES GANG WAS GREAT. IT KIND OF LET YOU GET THE FEEL FOR THE EAGLES MELLOW HARMONIES AND EASY GUITAR THAT MAKE THEM GREAT.THE BRASS SECTION WAS A VERY SPECIAL SURPRISE THAT ADDED A NEW DIMENSION THAT EVERYONE ENJOYED...NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS JUST "GREAT"...THANK YOU EAGLES

Shirley's Review

I saw the show in... Atlantic City, what a great venue!!  Boardwalk Hall
was a fantastic place to see a concert.  It's a smaller venue, more
intimate.  Our seats were on the second level to the right of the stage
and were great (at $200 each they should be).  The sound was far better
than in a larger arena, you could actually understand the words.  We saw
the tour last year in Columbus Ohio and this was far better.

My favorite part was...  so hard to pick one thing but I have to say the
harmonies.  They were outstanding, classic Eagles.

My least favorite part was....  not getting to hear Seven Bridges Road,
I had the set list so I knew they weren't going to sing it but...   I
wish they had changed the set list a little more from last year.

The band members were..... fantastic.  Don Henley can still hit all the
notes perfectly.  Timothy did an outstanding job on Love Will Keep Us
Alive, he is so under rated.  Glen was a little flat at times but all in
all did a great job and was the only one to talk to the audience.  Joe
is the clown, he gets the crowd going with his antics (and what's with
those pants and shoes?).  The replacement for Felder was great, he
should be named an Eagle, maybe after the lawsuit with Felder is over he
will become part the group.

The show made me feel..... awesome.  Seeing the Eagles live was on my
life list and I thought I had missed out on the opportunity but then l
got to see them last year and now to see them the second time-WOW.
These guys are my age so I'm pretty impressed with how great they sound
after all these years.

One thing I'll never forget is...the strains of Hotel California.  The
song started with a horn solo, which was superb.  The crowd went
absolutely nuts, so much so that the horn player stopped and waited
until the cheering eased up a bit, started over and the crowd went nuts
again.

Other comments:  It was a fantastic experience.  I loved every minute of
it.  The only thing I would change would be to have them add a little
more conversation with the audience.  Of course they could add more
songs too, but that's a lot to ask, after all the show was 3 hours.  I
also have to give a pat on the back to the crowd, everyone was well
behaved and very, very enthusiastic.  If you get the chance to go, don't
hesitate, who knows how many opportunities you will get to see these
legends and hear their great harmonies!!!

Cathy's Review

I attended the concert given by the eagles, in Atlantic city this past weekend. July 25, 2003
I had been comp'ed tickets from Ceasars hotel. I do enjoy listening to the eagles music, however, as I am not a devoted fan, I will offer my feelings on the concert.

I felt that the concert which was just about 3 hours long could have been reduced to about 1 1/2hours. If seems as though all their best music was saved for the last 1/2 hour. Except for a few recognizable songs throughout the show. Also, I am from NEW YORK, as I believe almost half the audience was that night. I did not appreciate the comment made by one of the eagles members regarding NEW YORK. A word to the wise...... DON'T SPIT IN THE WIND....

Don't think I would attend another show after hearing that comment.
