Donna: Fan Review

My favorite part was... Two actually, one was Don Henley belting out "Wasted Time" and the second was EVERY time Joe Walsh did a solo.  That guy was ON last night.

My least favorite part was.... The new song was okay, but really the only weak point in the show.  And I really wouldn't even call it weak, just not as amazing as the rest of the show.

The band members were..... Terrific.  Gave us a 3 hour show and it was worth every minute of it.

The show made me feel.....  Great - took me back to high school when my sister and I practically wore out out the LPs and 8-track of them.

One thing I'll never forget is.....Joe Walsh's red shirt and white-blonde hair.  He really stood out - both visually (bless his heart) and muscially.

Other comments  .......  This was probably the best concert I've seen in years.  I've seen Don Henley and Joe Walsh when they went solo after the breakup.  They were very good, but the magic is definitely back when they are together.  All the vocals were terrific and the guitars were amazing.  Loved the show.  Wish I could make the one at American Airlines Center, but I think we got a real treat seeing them in a more intimate setting at NextStage.  Made a wonderful memory last night - I'll never forget it!

Wayne: Fan Review

Tuesday night I had the opportunity to fulfill a 25 year dream of mine and see the Eagles live at NextStage in Grand Prairie, Texas. Being 40, I was in the perfect generation to live through the music of the Eagles, but had never had the opportunity to see them live. From LPs, to 8-track, to cassette, to CD... I have owned all of the Eagles works. My two daughters could sing I Can't Tell You Why and Hotel California not long after they were out of diapers. It was only fitting that they, now 17 and 15, made the trip as well.

Through the years, I have seen many concerts of both country and rock artists. Nothing else even comes close to what I experienced June 10. Even though they guys are beginning to show a little age, they still got it. From the beginning when the opened with The Long Run, to the final curtain call and Take It Easy/Desperado, I was transformed to an earlier life when they ruled the air waves. Actual playing time of the concert was nearly 3 hours. Thank goodness there was a break in the middle for us to catch our breath.

Nextstage is positively the place to see a concert. The smaller crowds and auditorium atmosphere lends to a feeling of closeness and intimacy with the performers. I have heard the Eagles strive to produce studio like sound in their acts. In my opinion, they succeeded very well Tuesday night.

My favorite part of the performance was the fact that it appeared to be several concerts in one. We got all the classic Eagles stuff. But we also got mini-concerts from the members solo careers. Frey, Henley, and Walsh performed several of their individual songs as well. The guys really seemed to be enjoying themselves on stage. After 30 years, that is a real testament to their love of what they do. My oldest daughter now has a new favorite guitarist.... Joe Walsh. As the song says, Hees Coool.

Another thing that impressed me was you could barely hear the Eagles themselves for the croud joining in on Already Gone and Take It Easy, just to name two. The music is timeless and we all know the words.

Having two teenage daughters, there are few times when we can agree on something. Whether it be what they are wearing, doing, or not doing, we have a difficult time seeing eye-to-eye on many things. However, their is one thing that we all, including my wife, can agree on. We are not likely to soon forget Tuesday night.  Thanks Glenn, Don, Joe, and Timothy for a great performance.

KTPASBY: Fan Review

I attended the show at Next Stage 6/10. I'm 42 years young, so like most of the attendees I grew up listening to the Eagles. Each song stirs up memories of a time gone by-where you were, who you were with, good times. I have now seen
the band 3 times and each time they have never disappointed. Yes, time is starting to take away some of the range in their voices, but I would rather see them on their worst day than any other band at their best. Yes, the Eagles  are that good. Name another band where you can listen to 4 lead singers, one of the best guitar players ever and before Felder left two of the best, all on the same stage. It's worth twice the price to see living music history.

Of the 3 shows I have seen this one was very special to me for two reasons. 1) this was probably the last chance for us fans to see them perform in such a small venue-And by the way Next Stage was an exceptional place- 2) I took my 2 children to the show. My son is 11 and taking guitar lessons. My daughter is 9. Being children of an Eagles fan they have grown up hearing the same songs I grew up with. To see the expressions on their faces as song after song actually coming to life instead of a CD....PRICELESS ! My son said to me at one point during the second half of the show "hey dad they sound just like the Cd' s at home ," I just smiled and replied "it's called talent." My daughter's only concern was when they left the stage for the first encore and hadn't played Hotel California, and when she heard those chords. How can you put into words the total joy reflected on a child's face? Do you think they'll ever let me
go without them again!

I"ll close by saying this. If there is anyone reading this that has never seen them live, GO don't wait. Believe me GO, the Eagles will not disappoint.
