I Saw The
Eagles in Houston Monday June 16th. Absolutely
amazing! The quality of the sound and accoustics was
wonderful. The vocals were so pure you would swear you
were listening to a DVD. I saw the 1994 tour, Don
Henley's and Glen Frey's voices were 10 times better
this go round! I almost felt guilty, their "air time"
was a solid 3 hours with 29 songs, the diversity of
which left me speechless! I believe the group was
inspired by a truly appreciative crowd who were worked
into a frenzy as the night wore on. At 11:30 P.M. on a
Monday night , this crowd of mostly 40+ year olds were
screaming for more! As the group ended with Desperado,
their 5th encore song of the night, we left convinced
we had crossed over into the promised land. Thanks
guys for a truly memorable evening!

Hi, my name is Janet
Lennon and I live near Houston, Texas, which is where
I saw the Eagles play (6/16/03). The show was simply
fabulous! My favorite part was being there and
listening to all of the songs being performed so
wonderfully! My least favorite part was having to
leave the stadium after the show was over!!! The
performance of the band was simply astounding! The
sound guys know what they are doing! I was so keyed
up I had a hard time going to sleep after I got home.
The one thing about this concert that I will never
forget is that it was the very best concert I have
ever been to (which includes the Hell Freezes Over -
although that concert was great, too!). I can hardly
wait for their next CD!! As soon as it goes on sale,
I'll be sure to add it to my collection of Eagles
music! |

The show was one of the most well-produced
concerts I have ever seen. The sound was awesome,
lighting, effects and set were great, and I loved
the set list. Joe Walsh still rocks, and he is a
consummate showman and guitarist. They played
over three hours and played all of their hits and
also played their solo songs. If you have a
chance to see this show, by all means, do it.

I went
to the show in Houston on June 16. I have always been
a decent Eagles fan but really feel in love with them
3 years ago went I bought their Hell Freezes over DVD.
I have never seen them in concert and have been
waiting years to see them. The show was awesome!! I
haven't stopped talking about it today. In fact, if I
didn't have a prior commitment tonight, I would go
back for the second show. My thoughts:
My favorite part was... the sound is incredible.
Infinity sponsored the sound and you can hear every
single note from every instrument. You could even hear
Walsh sliding his fingers up the guitar to hit the
next chord. The video display was great. There is
about a 25 foot wide screen TV above the front and a
huge screen behind the band. The screen up front shows
the band playing and splits into multiple views while
the screen in back runs computer graphics/scenes.
Incredible. Also, just about every song you want to
hear is played except for Witchy Women and Another
Worthless Evening. They played for almost 3 hours. Joe
Walsh was great.
My least favorite part was.... Desperado - means the
show is over.
The band members were..... Henley, Walsh, Frey,
Schmidt
The show made me feel..... Nostalgic. Kept remembering
growing up in the 70's and what the songs meant to me
then.
One thing I'll never forget is..... Joe Walsh singing
"Life's Been Good". Also, Henley and Frey really put
their "feelings" into the songs, didn't just sit there
and sing. The sound, the graphics, the screen in
front.
Other comments ....... best concert I have ever seen.

My name is Beth and I
saw the June 16th Houston show at Compaq Center. If
you are the least bit hesitant about plucking down
the bucks to see this show then take these words to
heart: I have been going to concerts for 30 years
and this was the best concert I have EVER seen.
Bite the bullet, pry the wallet out of your back
pocket and GO !
While every song they
selected to play was great my favorite (and judging
by the audience response) was Joe Walsh's "Life's
Been Good". Hard as it is to choose, the best
"Eagles" performances were "James Dean" and
"Heartache Tonight". Two wishes though: I wish
they would have ripped into "Victim of Love" after
the "Wasted Time" reprise and I missed Don Felder on
"Hotel California". The band was tight as ever,
nailing their harmonies as if I were listening to a
CD. Closing the show with "Take It Easy" and
"Desperado" was perfect.
Thanks Don, Glenn, Joe
and Timothy....I will carry this performance with me
forever. I will say it one more time....GO !

Wow! I can't believe I got to see
the Eagles!! WHO HOOOO! I have to honestly say this
was by far the greatest show I have ever, and will
ever seen. And i'm only 14. My family and I actually
live in Canton, GA but for some odd reason decided
we wanted to go to Houston to see the Almighty Ones.
lol. I hate Atlanta anyway. Everytime I go down
there I nearly get hit by several cars. But THAT'S
another story. We got to Compaq Center and
immediately got in the t-shirt line, my hands and
legs all shaky due to the fact I am going to be in
the same room as the Eagles in a matter of moments.
I think they actually came out at about 8:05 because
they showed us this really cool movie, similar to
the one on the Hole in the World dvd that said "THE
EAGLES WILL BE OUT IN 5 MINUTES." And all the
sudden The Long Run begins to play. I think I
surprised some of the people around me by knowing
the words to every single song they
sang...Hmm...let's see...my favorite part would have
to have been Life's Been Good or during All She
Wants to Do when Glenn was gettin' down with the
horn section. My least favorite part was when it
ended. I already had a set list and couldn't wait
for them to play Hotel California as the first
encore so when I saw everyone fumbling for they're
lighters (I was afraid I was gonna get burned, there
weren't many sober people around...but that just
adds to the entertainment. ;-) ) I got all mad
because I didn't have a dern lighter. But then I
remembered my neon light up flip flops. So I stood
in a puddle of coke for a little bit while I slammed
my shoes together as hard as I could. OMG it was SO
great. Don wore a blue shirt and khaki pants I
believe...Glenn wore a black Jacket and a bright
blue shirt and Tim wore a gray top and black
pants....I think. I know Glenn had two tone shoes.
But Joe took the prize with his awesome tye dyed
shirt, Adidas pants and jacket and sneakers with
flames on them. I'm STILL trying to find some of
those. I'm gonna have a Joe outfit dadgumit...Can
you tell he's my hero yet? My only regret is that I
missed part of Heartache Tonight and Life in
the Fast Lane. Otherwise everything was perfect. I
even bought the leather jacket afterwards. I'd been
saving my money all year long and had about $200 to
blow on good stuff, which I did! -sigh- I can't WAIT
till next year and hope they are still touring at
LEAST until i'm 21 so i can see them in Las Vegas.
;-) Bottom Line: If you can get tickets, get em.
it's SOOOO worth the price. Wow...I saw Joe Walsh.
My next big adventure is to meet him. I'll probably
mess myself...but that makes it all the more
memorable!
