this
was my first Eagles concert and I must say I was
totally blown away! My husband and I had tickets on
the floor at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
What struck me most was how tight the band still is
musically...their harmonies were just awesome! The
level of musical talent within that band is unmatched!
The best thing about the concert was I felt it was
four concerts in one; the Eagles, Joe Walsh and the
James Gang, Glen Frey, and of course my favorite, Don
Henley!
My favorite part was watching each performer play
their instruments. For guys in their 50's, they are
just amazing!!! |

Mike and Kathy's Review |
Glad I found the Set
List on this webpage. What a show!
I've always considered The Beatles, the Stones, Led
Zeppelin, and The Eagles as the pantheon of rock and
roll bands.
This is as good as it gets.
'Life in the Fast Lane' and 'Take it Easy' are on my
all time top song list.
So my wife got us tickets for my birthday.
Her all-time favorite artist is Elton John--has all
his albums from her high school days on, has seen him
3 times.
She walked out of Farewell I and said "That was better
than Elton John".
'Nuff said.
Your Name: Mike and Kathy Miller
I saw the show in... Madison, Wisc
My favorite part was... the crowd reaction to the
James Gang numbers. This was an incredible concert
mixing all the Eagles greatest stuff, plus the
individual songs of several great artists, plus the
best of the James Gang. Yes, incredible!
My least favorite part was.... 'You Belong to the
City' had bad miking/mixing; it wouldn't've have been
dead had the sound been right
The band members were..... amazing. Their voices are
so good still. They had great energy throughout.
Schmitt was breathtaking in his vocals. The
replacement guitarist for Meisner was SO GOOD.
The show made me feel..... lucky to be there
One thing I'll never forget is..... the last few
bars--the vocal, the video with the lighting, for
Henley finishing up Desparado, took your breath away.
And THREE encores! Great showmanship!
Other comments ....... I came in thinking Henley was
the strength of the group. Nothing diminished my view
of him seeing them live for the first time, but Frey
rose to the top for me--damn, he's good, and
versatile! I just never appreciated him as much before
seeing him live with such an ensemble of material. And
Schmitt was the huge surprise--those two songs were
highlights, wish he could have been featured more at
the mike. Walsh was GREAT--he won over the crowd so
much, and never overplayed it, never hammed it up,
just unassumedly did his thing and it drove the place
crazy every time!

Whitney's Review |
Well, I saw the show in
Madison from the floor and really enjoyed every minute
of the 3-ish hours. The crowd on the floor stood for
most of the show, so I got some kinks in my neck from
looking at the screen above the stage, but it was a
nice touch that allowed everyone to see all the
interesting facial expressions of Joe Walsh as he
jammed.
My favorite part was seeing/hearing how well the band
works together and hearing them do "Hotel" and
"Desperado" - I truly got the impression they were
enjoying themselves immensely. The acoustics were very
good, and it was great fun to watch the guys make the
guitars "talk" and to see all the different
instruments each of them play. What amazingly talented
musicians!
The crowd seemed especially appreciative of Joe
Walsh's jamming in Walk Away, and Life's been Good
among others, and Don got an enthusiastic sing-along
with "Dirty Laundry"
I'd have to say the least favorite part of the show
was the inebriated woman behind me that had a
particularly annoying shriek. It got better tho, once
the Kohl Center quit serving beer.
I saw one of the "Hell freezes over" stops in Fargo,
and felt like this concert was much more energetic,
even tho if I recall correctly, this show was longer.
I was amazed at how good Walsh sounded, and Henley
too, altho I thought he rolled off the high stuff in
"Boys of Summer". I've always really enjoyed Glenn's
voice too, but I thought theat he in turn, struggled
on "You Belong to the City". Some parts I could hardly
hear him and it seemed like Timothy B. was kinda
covering for him, especially on the high notes. Maybe
it was just a mic problem or something tho, and those
are really the only criticisms I can think of.
All in all money well $pent!
