I just got back from
Manchester, NH, Eagles Farewell I tour concert. It
was an excellent Eagles concert. Each Eagle checked
his ego at the door, and it was a true band
concert.
They did not talk much,
which was disappointing, but the music was there. I
think that if there was more talk, it would have
swayed people to the person talking, and not to the
music. I admire that they held themselves to the
music, and not to personalities and to appearances,
etc.
Timothy B. was so
mysterious and enticing with his solos, and I
thought he was so thoughtful and particular with
what he did. I'm now a huge fan of Timothy B. Glen
was himself, and he showed his talent of piano,
singing, and guitar. He spoke a bit to keep things
going. Joe was Joe, and he was great. He looks
rough, but his guitar playing and singing is
unsurpassed. He is himself, and he is awesome.
The new person on guitar
(name?) was excellent and kept up with all that is
expected. I don't think he has yet connected
personality and charisma wise, but he was modest and
understanding enough to know that. I think that he
will ease into it naturally, and he's not forcing
himself. I admire him for that.
It was an excellent
show. The crowd took a while to really get going,
but they did in time. Seems the age group is older,
and they are used to sitting more than dancing.
Hope they didn't mind the same age people who were
up front and didn't want to sit, and hopefully that
was encouraging to them to get up and dance!

Just got done the
Manchester concert. I think it was better than the
Boston ones-the guys seemed more energized & having a
lot of fun. Some people I was with heard comments by
other people in the crowd that this was better than
the Boston shows & that they'd pay twice as much to
see them again! (don't tell the guys that, tho)! The
crowd was great, too-very vocal.
Joe did a Nixon imitation & a bunch of people were
yelling Joe for President!
The entire show is just great-can't pick a favorite or
least favorite. I love how the crowd sings along on so
many of the songs & clapped along to "Hole in the
World".
Tim threw out his guitar pics (I got one)-he only did
that at one of the Boston shows.
Sadly, this is the end of our Eagles concerts (til
next year-thinking positively).
Little things like Tim going over to Joe during an
instrumental part of "You belong to the city" & saying
"wake up". Joe pretended to "wake up" & Tim smiling
(it was so cute I smiled too). Then, after they
finished their jumping routine, Joe kept bouncing &
Tim told him to "stop that".
There's nothing else I can say that hasn't been said
already. It's a GREAT show, well worth the money
spent-go and see it-you will NOT be disappointed. |

I still remember...
like it was yesterday. It was a weekend in June,
1972 and I was runnin' down the road when I heard
"Take It Easy", for the first time, a song from a
new band called the Eagles.
I was hooked! Since
that day their music has always been a part of my
life. Since '72 I've seen the Eagles (individually
and as a group) quite a few times, and the
Manchester concert was right up there with the best
of them.
Yea, the sound wasn't
the best (Verizon Wireless Arena is a hockey rink),
and some people were carrying on cell phone
conversations during the show, but it was great just
to see the guys one more time. They were all in
great form, even the new kid in town, Steuart
Smith... Still, it's a little hard getting use to
not seeing or hearing Don Felder. But then again,
Don was no Bernie Leadon and we got over it.
All in all, another
great Eagles concert. As long as they tour, I'll be
up there somewhere in the cheap seats.
