My favorite part was... The way the band got along
with one another.
My least favorite part was.... You Belong to the City
The band members were.....
Don: was in great spirits and his voice was awesome.
The new term to use to get someone to shut is "you'll
be Dixie Chicked". He did a nice job talking up the
girls for their concert on Sunday. His voice was
awesome as hit all the notes
Glenn: Looked and sounded great. He needs some new
jokes and must stop that shit with "you belong to the
city".
Timothy: Doesn't age. He sounded great
Joe: for the first half he looked like Keith Richards
(death warmed over) but when he got to rock he was
good ol' Joe.
Stuart: is really coming into his own with the group
and looked like he was having a lot of fun.
The show made me feel..... I'll never sit further than
the fifth row ever again. I saw them in the upper deck
at their stop in buffalo and didn't have a lot of fun.
This is the seventh time I've seen them and the best
show I've seen them give.
One thing I'll never forget is.....
The whole show was awesome and will never forget the
experience. The yahoo membership was well worth the
price as I got my fifth row dead centre seats for $400
Canadian (about $300 US) the guy beside me paid $1500
CDN for his two seats....can you say "OUCH"
The band looked really happy when everyone could sing
along with Hole in the World. I think that helped set
the mood for the rest of the show as the band looked
happy and seemed to be having a lot of fun.

Carol's Review |
I saw the Eagles
farewell concert tour in Toronto – last night October
9 at Air Canada Centre. I am now 48 years old and the
last time I saw the Eagles was when I was 17 years
old.
I over the years have continued to enjoy my old Eagles
albums. So I was very happy when I heard they were
coming back to Toronto.
The concert was absolutely amazing – they did not miss
a beat – if you closed your eyes you would feel 17
again. I hope they will not stop and return again.
What also made the concert was so special is that I
went with my two teenage nephews 15 and 17. To see my
favorite band live and to share it with them made it
even more special.
The Eagles rock and should know that it is amazing to
see a full house concert totally into what they do
still after all these years.
A fan forever

Sunspot's Review |
I don't know what
it was the moon, the beautiful Indian Summer weather
that made you feel like summer would last forever or
the fact that Ontario had finally gotten rid of the
Tory government that had everyone in such an 'easy
peaceful feeling' kind of mood but it was a magical
night. From the first moment I was just mesmerized by
what was happening on stage so much so that I was
leaning on the railing in front of me so into it a
bomb could have gone off and I wouldn't have noticed.
Some late arrivals (don't you just hate late arrivals)
had to start tapping me on the shoulder to get me to
move out of their way and it took me a minute to
comprehend what they wanted I just felt so connected
to the band that the distance between us, we were
fairly far away, didn't seem to matter. From where we
were,we had a fairly good view of the front screen and
the side one but perhaps since this was my first
concert it was kind of like watching a three ring
circus. It was difficult at times figuring out where
to look since there was so much happening on stage.
The band opened strong and never looked back. I was a
little worried that Don might seem a little distracted
given the recent loss of his mother but if anything
the opposite was true. He was incredibly on, in tune
with the audience, and in very fine voice I might add.
I've always known this to be true but the boy sure can
sing. As a performer he has an incredible confidence
and command of himself. The audience loved him. Before
hole in the wall he started getting into a little rant
about the state of the world and the audience was just
so with him. He cut himself off though after saying
something about the president saying he didn't want to
get Dixie chicked. He said they were good girls just
young. He also made some comments (I wish I could
remember everything exactly the way he said it) in
reference to other artists saying they (the eagles)
weren't going to get nekkid, their belly buttons
weren't pretty enough that it would be just them and
that all they knew was how to play their instruments
and sing. The audience made it clear that was just
fine with them.
I'm fairly certain they kept to the set list and Glenn
made all the usual jokes. Perhaps though since they
don't play here as often no one else recognized them
but Glenn just has a way about him as a leader of the
band, the way he introduces songs and such, he makes
it feel like it's an evening between friends. He's so
relaxed and easy and he really is funny. The only
concert I've seen with Glenn is HFO and he was so
nervous then it was almost a surprise to see his
confidence onstage. He's just such a natural up there.
I was also thrilled to see how great he is on the
guitar. I can't remember which songs he did solos but
he really is amazing. And as someone has said before,
Glenn has a way of making you feel he's singing just
for you. Quite often though he did position himself
towards my area so that just went double for me. I
almost missed his dancing though, I was looking the
wrong way and then unfortunately it was in an area I
couldn't see very well, but he's really good,
especially since it was near the very end of the night
and you'd think he'd be tired. I wish they had the
camera on him at that moment because I don't think the
rest of the audience saw it very well either. One
thing Glenn did though which I found incredibly cute,
was when he was singing backup at one point he just
kind of twisted his neck around to reach the mic in a
kind of playful way. Ok so perhaps you'd have to be a
total Glenn nut like me to appreciate that but that's
sort of the effect he has, he just seems to be having
so much fun up there you just love everything he does.
That's kind of true for all of them as well.
Timothy is incredible. First of all the guy doesn't
age. If anything he is getting younger. He's very
energetic on stage, always moving, either engaging the
audience or other band members. At one point he went
all the way over to the other side of the stage and
physically moved Steuart (I hope I'm spelling his name
right, I know there's a lot of vowels in the middle
I'm just never sure of the order) to the front of the
stage so they could play together. I'm not sure how
comfortable he was with that though. I noticed that
Steuart seemed to keep himself apart sometimes from
the other guys. Not sure if that's planned or if he
just feels the eagles should be in the center but I
have to say he's an amazing guitar player and not to
take anything away from Felder but he was just great.
But back to Timothy I really wish he could sing more
songs. Of course it's a long set the way it is but he
just deserves more. When he introduced Love will keep
us alive, he said "now it's time for the sappy love
song" but the audience made it clear they didn't mind
that at all.
Joe was incredible. I know I've used that word already
but man he really is just as amazing on the guitar as
everyone says. He seemed sort of quiet at the start of
the show but he got into it just like everyone else.
At one point he spoke to the audience and said he had
considered running for governor of California but
decided against it at the last minute but the good
news is now he's going to star in the next terminator
movie.
What can I say about the eagles that hasn't already
been said. It's just an amazing show and the only down
side is it goes by too fast even if it is well over 3
hours. They were all in great voice, played well not
one hitch in the show as far as I could tell. Don
introduced hole in the world as the time to leave and
go get a beer (hmm I think I heard that line before)
but the audience seemed to like it. It does sound so
much better live though. The only thing I might change
about the show would be having Glenn play something
other than you belong to the city. The horn player's
solo is amazing and so was the guitar by Walsh and
Smith but Glenn has so many other solo songs I like
better and if he's just going to do one I'd rather it
was something else. I do think as I've said before it
would be nice if Glenn's solo stuff was better
represented here but I do like what they've chosen for
Joe and Don. I think the mix between eagle stuff and
solo stuff is pretty good. My favourite fast song was
probably heartache tonight. No surprise there since
it's one of my favourite songs. Least favourite moment
would probably be the way the audience sings along
with almost all of the songs. No disrespect to any of
my neighbours but I didn't pay all that money not to
hear the eagles. They almost got drowned out a couple
of times. Also the set was kind of uninteresting. At
least to me. I liked the background pictures it was
sort of cool but I would have expected just a little
more somehow. Oh and before I forget, I love the horn
players. I know not everyone agrees but I think they
add something to it. Especially the solo before hotel
califonia. I'm assuming it was al garth and he was
amazing. ( I think I've used the word amazing before
too but when you're talking about the eagles it's hard
to come up with words good enough). People started
leaving before the end of all the encores. Not sure
why. Perhaps they don't know you're supposed to wait
for Desperado but for me that song was the highlight.
It's always been a special song for me and they didn't
let me down. If I could have a tape of just one song
of the night that would be that song because I'd want
to relive every moment of it. Either that or a tape of
Glenn dancing. Hmm tough choice moving touching
experience or something for my own personal fantasy
collection. I'll have to think about it. But overall
truly a special unforgetable evening. From start to
finish they're the best. Absolutely the best. I think
I'm kind of spoiled for any othe group now. I guess
I'll just have to stick to watching the eagles. As
some of you know this was my first eagles concert. The
best way of describing it was like seeing four old
friends for the first time. I've always loved these
guys and now I know why.

Tim's Review |
Phenomenal! These old
geezers have no business sounding so good at their
age(s)!
The set list was the same as the recent shows.
Virtually flawless execution. Didn't miss Felder too
much, sorry to say.
For me, there was a tad too much Joe , too little Don.
I thought the second part meandered a little. The
lowlight was probably "You Belong" — it reminded me of
how lame that song was. Why didn't Glenn sing
Smuggler's Blues if he wanted to do a Miami vice tune.
Strangely, I would say the highlight for me was HITW.
The lyrics to that song make me cringe but the
singing/harmonies were great and, after all, it is a
new song. Wasted Time was great too. I think the last
time I saw Don sing that with the Eagles he was buried
behind those drums. He was front and centre last
night.
Don made a funny quip after insulting "the cowboy in
Washington". He said: I better be careful or else I
might find myself "Dixie Chicked".
