My favorite part
was the whole concert. I have to admit that I liked
the
Eagles before seeing them, but now I love them!! I
might give away my age
here, but I really didn't know much about the guys in
the band until the
concert and I was so very impressed by the musicians
that I saw. I never
realized how many instruments they use and all play!!
My least favorite part was that they didn't sing Seven
Bridges Road, but
other than that they were well worth the money!!
The band members were great. I still haven't learned
all their names(ok, if
you couldn't tell, I'm young), but the bass player
with long hair and
skinny legs with proper fitting jeans with cowboys
boots looked yummy!
The show made me feel young. The band produces a ton
of energy from the
crowd, it was like nothing I had ever seen.
One thing I'll never forget is great music that they
played. They sounded
better live than they do on the radio!
Other comments...If you can afford to see the concert,
then go! It was
outstanding!

My
favorite part was... The Music
My least favorite part was.... Wish I could have seen
Don Felder with them!
The band members were..... Glen, Henley, Joe and
Timothy were excellent!! They all sounded great!
The show made me feel..... It was incredible!! I felt
great!!
One thing I'll never forget is..... The Show
period!!!!!!
Other comments .......
I was thinking I'd never get to see them, and I'm glad
they came to Connecticut! Considering the price of the
tickets....I definitely got my moneys worth. They
played for almost 3 hours and played several songs i
hadn't expected to hear. Everyone sounded great the
music was loud. The only thing that would have made it
better would have been to have Don Felder playing with
them! As good as Stuart Smith is...And I didn't expect
him to play exactly like Don (Felder).... But I felt
his playing didn't quite fit with the way Joe plays.
Hotel California just wasn't the same. But all that
aside the show was amazing! The rest of the guys were
worth the money!!!! I've seen Henley twice on his solo
tours and he just keeps sounding better each time i
see him. Glenn&Timothy Still sound great and This is
the second time I've seen Joe and he's still one of
the best guitarist there is.!!!!! Wouldn't have missed
the show for anything!!!!!

My
husband and I went to the concert on Saturday, July
19. I have never in
my life been to a better concert! It was fantastic,
and one was better than
the other.
I can't believe how great they all looked and they
were fantastic
performers! My husband was so thrilled to be there as
well. The lighting,
the new technology of everything, was AWESOME!!
There can never be another group like the Eagles, I
went to the Bruce
Springstein Concert and found this one much more
enjoyable!

The show made me feel..... young again...not that 36

One thing I'll never forget is..... seeing Don in

My fourth and final show
on the northeastern leg of the Eagles Farewell I tour
was Saturday night, July 19 at the Mohegan Sun Casino
in Connecticut where clearly, the best was saved for
last!
Once again, the show was typically awesome as the
Eagles flawlessly played their standard Farewell I
tour set list. Nothing else regarding this tour stop
was typical largely due to the fact that this show was
played in the relatively small Mohegan Sun Arena where
the standard floor footprint of the building is
designed to surround a basketball court, as opposed to
a larger 200 foot long hockey rink. Balcony seating
above the sides and rear of the stage were also
utilized. (Above the rear stage video screens). This
made for a most intimate concert setting. I got the
idea that the band members really liked playing in
this building as the Eagles frequently acknowledged
those seated to the rear of the stage. The P.A system
also sounded fantastic in a smaller hall.
I can’t begin to express my elation over finally being
able to sit back and lock in on the tremendous music
as the audience was wonderful! Very little screaming,
almost no talking over the songs and none of other
B.S. that I have belabored in previous reviews.
(Perhaps the $251 top ticket price had something to do
with deterring the knuckleheads?). I was seated in the
3rd row, center floor section which provided a great
vantage point to view the show. All of the
aforementioned elements combined for a totally
enjoyable event.
Some random observations:
• Glenn greeted the audience by declaring that it was
“his first Gamblers Anyomus meeting and that he was
having a good time so far”. He also acknowledged his
friend Chris “Boomer” Berman from ESPN who was in the
audience. (Berman also attended the Frey/Walsh gig in
Wallingford, CT in August,1993)
• Joe strolled out in wild patterned neon green and
black shirt complete with matching green beret which
he wore for the entire show.
• This was Henley’s second gig in this venue in the
last 8 months. He played an Inside Job tour date here
last October. That show was awesome too.
• Just prior to the break, Glenn stated that ‘he had
to run out to play a few hands of Black Jack and would
be right back”
• The audience was so sedate that Timothy had to
motion the crowd to their feet to clap during
Heartache.
• Steuart Smith was the buzz on the arena concourse
during the break. People are amazed at the guitar load
that he carries and carries so well!
• The votes are in. After attending several Farewell I
shows, my top 5 songs from the set are:
1). The Long Run,
2). Peaceful Easy Feeling
3). One of These Nights
4). I Can’t Tell You Why
5). Turn To Stone
• Fact: The Eagles have NEVER disappointed in concert
Of the 25 or so Eagles shows that I have attended over
the years, this was without doubt, the most enjoyable
concert that I have experienced. My face muscles are
still sore from 3 straight hours of smiling from ear
to ear. If this was my final Eagles show ever and this
was indeed a final farewell, then so be it because it
just doesn’t get any better than this. I can’t imagine
a better way to have closed out the many years of
watching this band perform.
Now I can die in peace.
