Inside Job
Electronic Press Kit
It used to be
that the press kits that accompanied an album were comprised of
a slick folder that contained the artist's bio, some info on the
album and one or two promotional photos. These days, though,
artists have to do much more to capture the attention of the
critics and media producers these kits get sent to. Don is no
exception. The press kit for Inside Job includes a beautiful
book with the song lyrics and Don's bio, 3 photos and a video.
The video is meant to be an electronic press kit of sorts. It's
sent out in the hopes that TV folks will use clips of it, or
information from it in stories that promote the album or the
tour.

Video
Okay,
this is sort of a disclaimer about the video (and
actually, the photos) that we've chosen to put up here.
A lot of people have been asking to see this video
because they've heard Don's family was in it. At first
we said, "....nah, we don't believe it. Don would
never put his family in the spotlight like that. He
values his privacy too much." This is the guy who
has told the paper that he feels the need to protect his
kids from the press because he, "..doesn't want
their faces to be known." Well, apparently, Don has
no reservations about mailing out video footage of his
wife, kids, and mother to members of the media. They are
all over this video...even shots of 6 week old
namewitheld.
So, even though this video has been sent out to members
of the press, we're very uncomfortable about putting up
images of the kids, so you won't see them in the video
or photos that we put here. What we will say is that
everyone is in the "Taking You Home" music
video, but we'll leave it up to you to figure out who is
who. To end this mini-rant, let us just say that we're
disappointed in Don. We've always tried to respect his
need for privacy, but to see him using his kids to
promote his record just seems a bit hinky to us.
