Sonora, with its many courtyards and adobe-style architecture was designed by Don Henley and David Sawyer. The construction, which took place over a period of three years was carried out by Gilbert and Chang with Michael Cohen, Clyde Johnson, and a crew that numbered nearly three hundred.
