Satyricon

This is the episode that made it on network television. In it we meet detective Cody McMahon, a rugged, likable detective who spends a lot of time in hotel rooms trying to get photos of people who are cheating on their spouses. This leads to some problems, especially when Cody is sent to spy on the "creation" of a plastic surgeon. He's made the perfect woman, but she's in love with a bus driver named Burt. Burt doesn't take kindly to having his passionate trysts recorded so during the episode, he tries several times to kill Cody.

Cody is hired by a bail bondsman to "baby-sit" the driver of a getaway car. The driver turns out to be loveable wise-cracking, Ziggy. Somehow, Cody and Ziggy help start the talks to forge a peace between warring gangs. Cody takes a liking to Ziggy and uses him to help on the big case of the episode. We also meet Gina, Cody's wannabe actress secretary. Gina's upset because a director sexually harassed her. To prove that he's a super guy and an awesome boss, Cody puts the nasty director through a glass window.

The big case is one that Cody takes to help an old friend. The friend's daughter is a ranked tennis player, but she's got a problem. She was drugged, taken to a seedy hotel and had some nasty photos taken of her. Now the photographer is wanting some money. The girl is also being harassed. She is shot with paint pellets. Doing some neato detective work, Cody follows the clues back to the seedy hotel, where he gets physical with the desk clerk who spills the beans.

It seems that it was the girl's mother doing the black-mailing. Turns out she and her husband were having marital problems and she wanted to secure a nest-egg for herself before she lost everything in the divorce. BAD MOM!!!!!
