Photos by Nancy who said this about the event:
Glenn Frey played for the National Association of Realtors Convention in
San Francisco on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at the Moscone Center. I was there
- 3rd row, center stage. I knew it would be good - but, oh my - it totally
blew us away. On top of it being an out-of-this-world performance he was
chatty and funny and interacted so well with the crowd. And, I must add he
was extremely handsome and looked dashing in his purple jacket! Scott Crago
and Stuart Smith were in the band making it all extra special. Glenn did
many of the songs you'd expect: Peaceful Easy Feeling, Heartache Tonight,
Lyin' Eyes, Take It Easy, and more. And, he did a truly amazing job on
Desperado (after hearing Henley do it a few times to perfection, I wasn't
sure how I'd feel hearing Glenn do it - but he did not disappoint by any
means!). He wrapped up with a second encore including "Some Kind of
Wonderful" and "I Hear You Knockin'". I was privileged with a brief (and I
mean extremely brief) "meet and greet" before the concert - it involved a
line of the "chosen few" approaching him one at a time - he extended his
hand and said, "Hi, I'm Glenn" (oh, do you think????), we looked to the
camera, smiled, and you're out of there. A hired photographer was taking
those photos and I'll have to wait to get mine - it will seem like forever
until it comes! It was all a thrill and a concert not to be forgotten.
